Add some style to your Valentine wooing

One for the short-list is Howard’s House Hotel, near Salisbury in Wiltshire, which has been named Britain’s most romantic hotel in the Good Hotel Guide every year since 2010.
Set beside a stream in the idyllic rural hamlet of Teffont Evias, the 17th-century property has an indulgent two-night Valentine break from February 15-17 with dinner and breakfast both days – including the chef’s special six-course romantic tasting menu on one night with a champagne aperitif. There’s more champagne in the room on arrival, along with fresh flowers and home-made chocolates. Cost is £500 for two.
Brockencote Hall is a beautiful French chateau-style mansion set in 70 acres of grounds overlooking a lake and peaceful parkland in the picturesque village of Chaddesley Corbett, near Kidderminster in Worcestershire. Highlight of its one-night Valentine break is also a special six-course tasting menu at dinner.
Available on February 14, 15 and 16, and costing £350 per couple, the package includes champagne and hand-made chocolates on arrival and a sumptuous breakfast in bed the following morning.
You’ll get a couple of spa treatments each included in the Valentine package available throughout February at The Hoste, a 17th-century coaching inn close to the North Norfolk coast at Burnham Market.
For £260 couples enjoy a champagne afternoon tea on arrival, a mini facial and a back massage each in the hotel’s luxurious spa, an overnight stay and full English breakfast the following morning.
All just the job for scoring a few brownie points in the romance stakes.
