The warmest Easter Sunday was the 22nd of April 1984, where temperatures climbed above 20 °C and the sunniest Easter was over the 4th-6th of April 1969 with many parts of the UK seeing temperatures climbing above the average, with temperatures well above 18 °C in the south, and above 15 °C in the north.
So if we do get a repeat of the warm and sunny weather (fingers crossed!) the Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Gardens are hosting a School Holiday Fun ‘Golden Egg Hunt’. You will have to team up with your friends and family to find the tiny golden egg hidden somewhere on the estate. Kew had the coldest Easter Day for 81 years. The Easter of the 1st-3rd of April 1983 was the snowiest Easter with Scotland, the Midlands and Kent getting up to 10 cm of snow.
