The Tour: Your Guide to Yorkshire Hotels for 2014

The Largest Cycling Event in the World Comes to Yorkshire
The biggest race in cycling is departing
from Yorkshire this year, which is obviously great news for cycling
fans and the residents of Yorkshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to visit
the UK’s biggest county, home to some of Europe’s most stunning
countryside.

Schedule
Stage
1
On
5 July, of the race gets underway in the prominent city of Leeds,
continuing to the beautiful rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales
before finishing with a sprint into the elegant spa town of
Harrogate.

2
Starting
on 6 July in the medieval walled city of York. 200 hilly kilometers
later, the Tour finishes its visit to the north of England in the
modern city of Sheffield.
Stage
3
Beginning
on 7 July, the final section of the race heads towards the university
city of Cambridge, then through the Essex countryside before hitting
London. The riders will pass all the major London landmarks (Houses
of Parliament and Buckingham Palace) before a spectacular finish at
The Mall.

We have compiled a rundown of some beautiful hotels that are in easy
commuting distance (approx 30-40 mins) to Leeds for the start of the
