The hotel is located on the north side of Alderney, next to the Breakwater and enjoys stunning views over the white sands of Braye Beach. The tranquility of the setting allows the visitor to fully enjoy the beauty of the surrounding scenery and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A short walk takes you to the nearby harbour, whilst a 10 minute walk up the hill will take you into the quaint town of St Anne's.

Braye Beach itself is ideal for taking a leisurely stroll. At the far end of the bay you will see the imposing Fort Albert, one of many fortifications which are dotted along the coastline. It is locally known as the 'best sandcastle beach' on Alderney due to its cleanliness and unlimited amount of glorious white sand. There is even a sandcastle building competition in August each year during Alderney Week. You can book flights to Alderney via Guernsey with Blue Islands with flights from Jersey, Southampton, Isle of Man, Zurich or Geneva. Aurigny offers direct flights to Alderney from both Southampton and Guernsey. Alternatively, you can travel with Aurigny via Guernsey from larger national airports such as London Gatwick, London Stansted and Manchester or from smaller regional airports such as Jersey, Bristol and Dinard. The ferry operator Manche Iles Express operates the high speed passenger catamaran, “Victor Hugo” between Dielette (France) and Alderney, via Guernsey, from May to September. There are no direct ferry services to Alderney from the UK. Condor Ferries sails from Weymouth, Poole and Portsmouth to Guernsey all year round, so connections to Alderney are possible by sea with Manche Iles Express in the summer months and by air with Blue Islands or Aurigny throughout the year.

Alderney, third largest of the Channel Islands, is roughly 3 miles long by 1½ at its widest, about 2,000 acres in extent and is situated in the mouth of the Channel, 9 miles due West of Cap de la Hague in Normandy. It has high cliffs along its southern coastline, the eastern part of which, the older harder rocks are overlaid with sandstone, (the only Channel Island to contain this rock), with the main plateau area, about 80m high, having most of the agricultural land and sloping steeply down to the north and east.
