Castle Hotel - Luxury Conwy Hotels
The Castle Hotel is right in the centre of the World Heritage walled town of Conwy. Originally an old coaching inn, standing on the site of a Cistercian abbey and used to consist of two famous hostelries, The Castle and the 15th century King’s Head and is now one of Conwy’s most photographed buildings.
The hotel’s owners, the Lavin family along with their fellow Director/Chef Consultant, Graham Tinsley take good food and hospitality very seriously. Fabulous local Welsh produce is always served with a flair. The hotel has 28 bedrooms and suites, including a very grand, ornately carved four poster bed, dated 1570 in the Wynn Suite. So named because the bed once belonged to the Wynn family who were major land owners in North Wales in Elizabethan times. Their ‘town house’ called ‘Plas Mawr’ is just a few doors from the hotel up the High Street.
All of the hotel’s bedrooms and public areas have been upgraded recently and now offer contemporary style and facilities, but with the same emphasis on comfort and tradition. All the bedrooms have private bathrooms and the two room Caer Rhun Suite has a two person jacuzzi bath!
Conwy Conference Facilities - Castle Hotel
