All the bedrooms have recently been refurbished with a mix of contemporary and stylish furnishings, fine antiques and fresh flowers. Hadleigh Barrett and Stuart Brown, the 2 master chefs of GB, love to use quality produce from Combe’s recently restored Victorian kitchen gardens. Combe is a favourite haunt for locals – perfect for lunch, dinner or special occasions. Ken maintains a varied unusual and interesting cellar where wines worldwide have been selected for taste rather than vintage or name.

Nearby you can explore the antique shops of Honiton or walk the SW Coastal Path (Sidmouth to Lyme Regis), the rugged open spaces of Dartmoor or the Cathedral City of Exeter. Combe is at the gateway to Devon and Cornwall, close to the M5/A30 and so ideal for a special stopover and romantic escapes. Visitors always made most welcome.
