Howard’s House is an independently owned and run country hotel nestled in the heart of an idyllic Wiltshire village.

The country house hotel is a traditional stone building, which has been at the heart of the unspoilt Wiltshire village of Teffont for many centuries. Originally built in 1623, it has had many functions but has always been a central part of the life of this ancient village. Everything about the hotel remains genuine, with little changes over the centuries. The open fire still blazes in the cooler seasons and every room has its own individual history. From the bottom of the ancient cellar to the crest of the original roof, Howard’s House remains a true testament to its role as the warm heart of this heritage village.

The Howard's House Hotel has 9 newly refurbished rooms, all have been designed with your relaxation and comfort in mind. All rooms feature en suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen televisions and luxurious comfortable beds. The bathrooms have both bath and shower, and feature luxury White Company toiletries.

The restaurant serves an ever-changing choice of table d'hôte and à la carte dishes on our menu, bringing out the best in local meats and game, seasonal fish and seafood and the freshest of vegetables is his deceptively simple art.
