The hotel is only 15 miles from the motorway (Junction 36). In the grounds are gentle walks, abundant wildlife, a beautiful tarn with its own summer house, various strategically located seating spots, and for the really active, a putting/croquet lawn! Inside, the Lakeland house built in 1900 has been tastefully refurbished and the interior design is often described as ‘Raffles meets Ralph Lauren’, with a contemporary twist.
The service is unstuffy yet professional. Friendly and welcoming, like the real fire which burns in the cooler weather, the staff seem to appear from nowhere anticipating your every need.
