Waterton Park Hotel is a modern 4 star purpose built hotel on the mainland with extensive conference and banqueting facilities located in Wakefield.

Waterton Park Hotel is a luxury 4 star hotel in a scenic setting of rolling parkland with its own lake, a backdrop of ancient woodland and a championship golf course. The park is made up from the gracious Georgian mansion Walton Hall and Waterton Park Hotel; both sit on an island surrounded by its own lake.

There are 65 bedrooms most with stunning views over the surrounding lake, woodland or golf course; these are split between the two buildings – Walton Hall and Waterton Park Hotel. There are many four-poster and executive bedrooms, in both the Hall and the Hotel and all the rooms are equipped with; Direct dial telephone with modem socket, Free WiFi Internet Access, Voicemail, Satellite TV, Tea/Coffee Making facilities, 24 hour room service and Complimentary Car Parking.

The award-winning chefs at the Waterton Park restaurant serve creative dishes with the best of the season’s produce, when possible. Alongside the enticing menus there’s an excellent selection of hand -picked wines from which to choose – some well known and some less so and if you’re tempted to be a little adventurous our Restaurant Manager will guide you with his recommendation.

Directions to Waterton Park Hotel from the M1

1.Leave the M1 at junction 39. 2.Take the Wakefield exit off the motorway junction, Denby Dale Road - A636, towards Wakefield. 3.At the next roundabout go straight on (second exit), you will pass the 'Red Kite' pub on your left. 4.At the next roundabout take your third exit towards Crofton & Sandal onto Asdale Road - A6186. 5.You will pass the 'Asda Supermarket' on your left, go straight over the two mini roundabouts. 6.You will come to a set of traffic lights, go straight on. 7.At the next set of lights turn right passing the 'Three Houses' pub, onto Chevet Lane - B6132. 8.Turn left onto Walton Station Lane, follow the country lane to the T-Juntion at the end of the road. 9.Turn right onto Greenside. 10.Take you first left onto Shay Lane. 11.Just before the mini roundabout turn right onto the Balk. 12.As the road veers to the right,drive straight onto our private drive. 13.Follow the private drive past the Golf Club House on the left and over the small Hump-Back Bridge.
