Fishmore Hall is a luxurious 15 bedroom Georgian House; and in the four short years since the owners embarked on an incredible refurbishment of this derelict property, they have established themselves as one of the countries finest.
Red Star – as opposed to black star – hotels represent the most outstanding examples in each star category and signify the best in the British Isles. Fishmore Hall owner, Laura Penman said: “We are elated to have been presented the 3 AA red stars. Our hotel has undergone substantial development in such a short space of time and this is confirmation that every hour spent was worth it. Our staff have worked incredibly hard to maintain and raise the level of service that we pride ourselves on.”
Fishmore Hall’s sensational restaurant Forelles is no stranger to recognition. Awarded 2AA rosettes within an astonishing 10 days of opening, the AA have now awarded Forelles a 3rd rosette, positioning them in the top ten per cent of restaurants according to the AA Guide.
Speaking of the remarkable accolade, owner Laura said: “Our restaurant is at the heart of our hotel and a key factor in our great reputation, both in Shropshire and nationally. Our head chef, David Jaram is an inspiration and his commitment to creating fabulous food as well as his flair for originality are more than worthy of this honour.”
This contemporary haven was runner up in The Sunday Times Best Value Rural Hotel UK 2010 and owner Laura Penman was also honoured with Caterer Magazine Acorn Award in 2009, recognising her for her excellence in the industry for someone under 30.
Laura said: “Fishmore Hall is a treasure and we will continue to concentrate on providing the highest standards of service and food. We look forward to future success”
