Waterfront Staff at an Ipswich quayside hotel are celebrating after they received a special accolade in honour of their fantastic service and high standards. The Salthouse Harbour Hotel has been awarded four red stars by the AA – much to the delight of staff and managers.
Robert Gough, the owner of the Salthouse and The Angel in Bury St Edmunds, said the award had only inspired the hotel to improve services even more.
He described the award as something that was “Extremely exciting for the whole town”.
“It puts us among the top 200 hotels in the UK – something which is extremely special and proves that we are unique.
“One thing that I am most proud about is our style – the fact that our services is both professional yet informal.”
The accolade means that The Salthouse is the first four red star hotel in Ipswich.
