According to the broad sheets – The Sun, Mirror etc “Brad has rented out an entire boathouse” supposedly on the edge of Lake Windermere.
As you will know, Fine Individual Hotels has some of the most stunning country house hotel in the Lake District and we have been speculating as to whether it maybe any of these fantastic hotels, some of which offer exclusive use to residence of their hotel, it’s facilities and staff.
Could it be Waterhead, which overlooks one of the most famous views in the UK. It melts the heart of everyone who stands on the edge of the Lake Windermere looking across to the majestic fells in the distance. Just a short walk from the bustling town of Ambleside, its within close proximity of local restaurants and amenities. Waterhead offers the contemporary styling of a quality boutique hotel in a stunning English Lakes setting. It’s the only four-star hotel of its kind in the Lake District.
Maybe Storrs Hall, a quintessentially British hotel. The Grade II listed Georgian Mansion that stands in seventeen acres of grounds and woodland on the shores of Lake Windermere, will offer the privacy Angelina and Brad would require.
Of course Brad and Angelina would not be the first famous people to grace Storrs Hall, William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, who helped immortalise the English Lake District, both spent time at Storrs Hall.
The hotel’s Old English style evokes a time of gracious living. Every room is filled with antiques and works of art to create a relaxed atmosphere of elegance and comfort.
On a more grandiose scale, we have the award winning Lakeside Hotel, with an enviable position on the edge of the Lake Windermere. With it’s 75 rooms it might feel a little too large for Brad, Angelina, their six children and the rest of their entourage. However with their exclusive health and leisure spa with treatment rooms along with the award-winning restaurants, it has plenty to offer if the weather is inclement.
Linthwaite House Hotel
Lakeside location maybe not, however with stunning views of Windermere, the Linthwaite House Hotel should have been a hot contender for the family holiday. With a modest 30 rooms, this country house hotel would be perfect for ‘Brangelina’, as they offer sole use of the hotel and its surrounding 14 acres from 12.30pm on the day of the Exclusive Use booking until 11.00am on the day of departure. They do not take any other booking or visitors in our grounds, so they would be guaranteed their very own exclusive use country house hotel.
Wherever they decide to stay we are sure the family will have a wonderful time. If we find out anything on the grapevine from our hoteliers, we’ll be sure to let you know.« View all blog articles.
